sales for the remainder of the year.
Called on their affiliates, vendors, music business colleagues, neighbors,
friends and staff to contribute to the Red Cross. SESAC will match their
donations dollar for dollar, for the next $50,000 contributed.
MusicCares Hurricane Relief Fund
The Recording Academy, along with its MusiCaresTM
Foundation, has committed an initial donation of $1 million for music
people affected by Hurricane Katrina, according to the organization's
president, Neil Portnow. Along with this donation, each of the Academy's
12 regional chapters will designate local programming to continue the
fundraising efforts. The Recording Academy, the Latin Recording Academy,
MusiCaresTM Fundation and the Grammy
Foundation have also created a matching fund with their employees who
