Proceeds from the sale of $300 VIP tickets were donated to the American Red Cross, Salvation Army, America's Second Harvest and similar organizations. In conjunction with MTV's "ReAct Now: Music & Relief" event (see Telethons), the concert aired September 18th.
Grand opening of "Willie's Place," Nelson's theatre, donated proceeds from September 26-27 debut concert to regions hardest hit by Katrina in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida.
On the final night of this summer's Ozzfest, the tour and promoter joined forces with the Red Cross to raise money for the victims of Hurrican Katrina. Cash donations were accepted at the Sept. 4 show at the Sound Advice Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL by Red Cross volunteers.
